Toner Low - Toner Low (2005)

Toner Low - Toner Low (2005)
EAC Rip | WV, IMG+CUE+LOG | 287 MB | MP3 CBR 320 Kbps | 107 MB | Complete Scans | 7 MB
Heavy Psychedelic/Stoner Rock | Label: Freebird Records | Catalog Number: FRC021 | RAR 3% Rec. | RS.com

“From Holland come Toner Low, a three piece hell bent on carrying the subsonic, mind altering heaviness of Sleep. And this is some heavy shit indeed. Like Sleep, it’s minimalist to the point of being drone. Riffs repeat to the point where they start closing in on you. This repetitious nature could be underwhelming or overbearing if Toner Low didn’t break the crawling riffs with some cool guitar soloing (such as on the second track), quieter passages, and sporadic Melvins-like singing with lyrics that are equal parts Phillip K Dick and Ed Gein. In the end you have six songs that are insidious and beautiful at the same time, an enticing contradiction. These guys know how to work a mood. It may be simple in approach, but it’s very effective.

Recommended for fans of Sleep, Om, The Melvins, Pharaoh Overlord, and heavy mood music.”
